Egyptian Cerebro-Cardio-Vascular
Association
The Heart-Brain connection and interaction is a
relatively unexplored science. Egyptian Cerebro-Cardio-Vascular
Association is the merge between two different but interactive
specialities, Cardiology and Neurology. The purpose of the Society
is to bring this important relationship to the forefront in order to
stimulate more of this important but neglected arena.
In many instances both cardiologists and
neurologists should work together to provide high quality up-to-date
care for patients with combined cerebral and cardiac disorders. Many
neurological conditions have an impact on cardiovascular system
including Parkinson disease, epilepsy, depression, anxiety and
stress and many cardiovascular conditions have an impact on
neurological system including atrial fibrillation and patent foramen
ovale.
We believe that more attention and understanding
of the heart-brain link will underpin better care for patients.
Health care professionals will learn of recent discoveries and
insight that relate to new treatments for cardiovascular and nervous
system disorders.
